Vilnius is especially pleasant to explore because most interesting places to visit are within a short walking distance. The most famous sightseeing places are listed below. • The Museum of Genocide Victims is the only one of its kind in Europe that is set in the former KGB headquarters and the prison. Visitors of the museum are able to face the horrible past and to feel the horror of the Soviet repressions.
• Artilery bastion which was built in 17th century as a defensive post now is displaying the exposition of rare exhibits of 18th century.
• The TV tower is now the Radio and TV center. it is a 326,5 m height and includes a marvelous restaurant up in 160m height called Milky Way. The restaurant is a great observation desk as it is turning around slowly and opens the picturesque panorama of Vilnius city.
• The European Park is a very surprising open air museum including exhibits of contemporary art . it is situated 14 km around the geographical Europe center.
• The Užupis Respublic – it is a bohemian distric which iš often compared to Monmartre in Paris.
